CAPITOL RECORDS artist KEITH URBAN is the hero of PATTY SLOAN’s fourth grade class in PUTNAM COUNTY, TN. According to THE TENNESSEAN, SLOAN went to see URBAN last weekend in KNOXVILLE and made him a homemade sign to try to catch his attention reading, “I told my class no more homework for the rest of the year if I got my picture made with you.”
URBAN pulled SLOAN out of the audience for a photo and she says she is sticking to her word.
“There is no way I ever would have made that sign and KEITH be that generous and genuine and me not (follow though),” PATTY said. “Thank GOD I’m tenured.”
SLOAN added, “It can not be put into words how much I’ve dreamed of that moment. He literally made my dream come true. And that’s what I told my kids on MONDAY, that if it’s your dream to be a TENNESSEE TITAN (or something else that might seem unattainable), don’t let anything stop you.”
