CLEAR CHANNEL AC WQHQ (Q 105)/SALISBURY-OCEAN CITY midday goddess SANDI "ALEXANDER" SACCA is stepping down after a 30-year run on the radio on MARYLAND's EASTERN SHORE.
"I want to spend more time together as a family. I am a mom first and foremost. We have a boy, 9, and a 13-year-old daughter. It is hard being a mom, a working mom and a professional," she told DELMARVANOW.COM. "I have been good to WQHQ, getting it high ratings, and WQHQ has been good to me because the company has allowed me to have a degree of family freedom.
"I have no formal training in broadcasting, just the gift of a radio voice. I learned the job from the ground up working at the two stations. It's been a good run," she said, pride in her voice. "Thirty years seems like long ago and far away."
