Staff Changes Begin At WB/Reprise

The long rumored changes at WARNER BROS./REPRISE have indeed begun. After a zillion years with the labels, REPRISE SVP/Promotion MIKE RITTBERG has announced his departure.  And longtime REPRISE VP/Pop Promotion BOB WEIL has left the building after nearly 25 years.

Over at WB, SVP/Promotion RON CERRITO and VP/Pop Promotion KEN LUCEK also left the building.

In a widely distributed e-mail, RITTBERG paid respect and homage to past label icons like MO OSTIN, who hired him to run REPRISE, and mentioned PHIL QUARTARARO, RUSS THYRET, STU COHEN, RICH FITZGERALD and paid deep respect to the local staffs.

RITTBERG said, "I've tried to show up to work daily giving it my best and acting in the best interest of our artists -- make sure you do the same. If you learn one thing about working at a label remember that this job isn't about you- - it's about the artists. I've always believed that when numerous folks can tell a story of what they did to break an artist we have a hit. Stay in touch as I know our paths will cross again."
