ALL ACCESS sends condolences to REDNECK RECORDS artist GRETCHEN WILSON, whose uncle VERNON HEURER, known as UNCLE VERN, suffered a heart attack and passed away on FRIDAY (9/9). He was 44 years old and was in his hometown on GREENVILLE, IL.
"This obviously caught all of us by surprise, and we are just devastated," said GRETCHEN. "I have a hole in my heart and a void in my life that will never be filled. VERN will not only be missed by my family and me but by everyone who was ever blessed to hear his laugh and see his smiling face. I will miss you, VERN."
UNCLE VERN appeared in GRETCHEN’s debut music video "Redneck Woman" in early 2004. He also gave the late ED BRALEY a tour of the former BIG O's nightclub in POCAHONTAS, IL during a "60 Minutes" profile of GRETCHEN. VERN moved to his current home in LEBANON, TN in 2005 and could regularly be spotted with GRETCHEN at television appearances and concert dates.
UNCLE VERN was engaged to be married this fall. He is survived by his sisters CHRISTINE and VICKIE, his nephew and GRETCHEN's brother JOSH, and his dogs PETE and PETE, JR.
