Williams Exits
MERLIN MEDIA News WWWN (FM NEWS 101.1)/CHICAGO anchor DAVE WILLIAMS has exited the station. CHICAGOLAND RADIO AND TV reports that WILLIAMS was unexpectedly let go FRIDAY, three months after relocating from CALIFORNIA to join the fledgling all-News outlet.
The report indicates that WILLIAMS' departure is related to a change in the station's focus from personality-lifestyle news presentation to a more traditional news wheel.
WILLIAMS' extensive resume includes stints at KNX-A, KFWB-A and KABC-A/LOS ANGELES and a long run at KFBK-A/SACRAMENTO. He can be reached at davewilliams0806@gmail.com.
