October 27, 2011 at 7:22 AM (PT)
ATLANTIC/WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE artist HUNTER HAYES will be the subject of the GAC special “INTRODUCING: HUNTER HAYES” on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 1st at 10p (ET). The show chronicles the 20-year-old’s nearly 17 year career through photos, performance video and interviews with family members, musical mentors and industry associates.
HAYES grew up in BREAUX BRIDGE, LA and he was sitting in with a band by the time he was four. Too young to read, the set list contained hand drawn pictures to remind the young accordion player of the song titles. “When I was young my parents noticed me taking a liking to music, “ HAYES said. “Music was my soccer game, it was just what I did. I think I started so young, I didn’t know what nervous was.”
“As I started to grow up I started to take in a lot of different music, primarily Country,” HUNTER added. “I was playing music long before I was writing it. I think I started writing it because I got tired of playing everybody else’s stuff and wanted to say my own thing.”
