Arbitron Holds Urban PD Clinic

ARBITRON kicked off its Client Conference in WASHINGTON, D.C. today with its Urban PD Clinic.
Host RADIO ONE SVP/Programming Content JAY STEVENS began the proceedings by analyzing the latest PPM insights for Urban radio, offering several suggestions to help Urban programmers add one more minute to build the station's ratings.
Next was a presentation from UNTER-MILLER CONSULTANT GROUP Pres. PEPPER MILLER, who cited interesting studies on how the Black Millennials have changed and how Urban programmers must
adjust to meet their changing needs. RADIO ONE GM/Digital Media SAM STIRES then discussed the importance of digital media and what it means in today's overcrowded media environment.
ARBITRON Sr. Principal Policy Analyst DAVE WILLINSKI warned the attendees of the dangers of using certain phrases and the risks involved, along with the dos and don'ts of how to protect their stations when using social media., while Dir./PPM Product Management DENISE SAFKO, updated the conference on product management.
The Urban PD Clinic ended with host JAY STEVENS moderating a panel about ARBITRON's relationships with its PPM panelists. Joining him on the panel were ARBITRON's CLAUDINE KINSLEY, MARY PENN and DENISE SAFKO.
