Edisun is a true American Rock band that strives for invention and passion in the music they create. Calling New York City home the band have built a strong following domestically as well as a massive international following attributed to their performances for the troops in over 20 countries including 5 tours of Iraq.
Their sound and unique lifestyle, is roots-based and hard-driving. Edisun celebrates an ever-endangered brand of underground rock-n-roll spirit.
This is an intensely captivating live band that has built a strong following around mystique. Singer Ethan Isaac and guitarist Jonathan Svec (formerly of Columbia Records and J Records Recording Group Splender) joined forces with drummer Todd Budich, guitarist Joel Kelley and bassist James Cruz to invent Edisun. Hailing from various parts of the country, Edisun has spent the past 3 years touring internationally playing over 20 countries. Their tours have included entertaining the troops across the globe and extensive shows through out Europe.
The band has toured and shared the stage with Everclear, Sevendust, Non Point, Smile Empty Soul, Cold & Staind and have appeared in very high profile print, radio&TV including Howard Stern, Dan Patrick, Mancow, Rolling Stone, Wall Street Journal, ABC with Charlie Gibson & The New York Post to name a few and were the first band to shoot a rock video in Iraq.
Edisun's self titled debut will be released September 28th via FOF Label Group and was produced by Claude Villani and mixed by Jay Baumgardner (Godsmack, POD, Evanessence, Papa Roach).
The video for the first single Medicate, now impacting Rock, was shot in mid August with director Paul Brown (Buckcherry, John Mayer, Alicia Keys, Slipknot).
