Nothing Else Matters
May 15, 2012
I want you to experience the greatest success possible today. It's why this post may create some enemies, but here's goes.
The answer to your greatest win is not playing follow the follower, and looking outside of you. What I mean by that statement is this: There are many smart people writing blogs, posting advice, sharing ideas, and so on. And yes, I am obviously one of them.
The research, mechanics, best practices and other information is very valuable. However, it is not a "plug and play" plan that you can use to set and forget. In social, or any other area of business or life, you have to uncover that thing that is uniquely you and use it as the discipline and focus for connecting with others in a way that provides them a solution to their problems ... or tremendous value that makes their conversations more interesting.
And the only thing that matters is this moment. Not looking forward to what the world will look like in five years and what platform may replace Facebook, Twitter or whatever. And not looking backward to try and turn back the clock in hopes that things will get back to a "normal" that will never exist again.
If you want to win in this world and make a lot of money ... focus on the value you can add to each moment happening right now. Nothing else matters.
So instead of spending all the time, energy and resources to pay someone for the answer ... find someone who can help you uncover that which you already know ... then use the tools, mechanics, studies, etc. to ignite that passion in a purposeful way that no one can ever replicate.
The rest is just noise that is filling space so someone can feel they accomplished something.
