The King of Pop Keeps Making History & Breaking Records
Michael Jackson's Thriller became the first album certified by the RIAA with more than 33 Million in U.S. sales and streams. It remains the only album ever to have RIAA 30X+ Diamond Status and is the Best-Selling Album of all time, topping 105 Million in sales worldwide. Additionally, Jackson's album, Bad, was certified RIAA 10X Diamond in recognition of U.S. sales and streams of over 10 Million. Executives from Sony Music Entertainment and the Estate of Michael Jackson were in Los Angeles for a special plaque presentation honoring those milestones.
