Have an opinion? Add your comment below. I think to myself ‘what would any PD worth her or his salt want to hear on the radio tonight?’ Inevitably, I arrive at the same three answers:
-funny content
-unique chat
-transatlantic accent-
BRIEF CAREER SYNOPSIS:
I’ve attempted work in radio and T.V. (T.V. is a short-form I use wherein the “T” stands for “television” and the “V” is seemingly pointless). My stations in radio? Many. My station in life? Budget Gatsby. The Greg Beharrel Show is syndicated across North America and spreading faster than whatever happened in the Walking Dead (but with better character choices in the later seasons).
1. I guess we need to start with your photo. Last time we spoke you had an apple on your end, now you have a chip on your shoulder. Of course, I laugh each time I look at your picture. What led to having a chip on your shoulder?
I've always had a chip on my shoulder which is very difficult to balance given my Igor-esque posture.
2. Let’s talk about your new syndicated show with Yea Networks that began in 2020. In the fall, you added nights on Alpha Media ALT stations WGHL/Louisville and WARQ-HD2/Columbia. Your show originates from KLOS/L.A. Tell us about how you put your show together for your affiliates.

-transatlantic accent3. Your show is certainly unique and hilarious. Your bio states: Spend your nights with Greg Beharrell and The Greg Beharrell Show! Like nothing you’ve ever heard on the radio before! For those that have never heard your show, how would you describe your show?
Lean in radio. Great. Now that I’ve put that phrase out into the Universe, some station is gonna flip to “96.7 Lean In Radio” by the end of the week.
4. So, KLOS PD Keith Cunningham said, “Greg Beharrell is a rare and unique talent who creates a wide range of fantastic, comedic content that cuts-through and gets noticed on-air and online. We are thrilled that KLOS will be his flagship station, as his show invades markets all across the country.” What’s your pitch for ALT stations?
When Keith said that he was using a really sarcastic tone of voice. My pitch for ALT stations? Knuckleball. My show is a lost "art" (legally, I have to put quotes around that word when referencing what I do).
5. Your roots are in the Alternative format. You previously hosted mornings Canada on CFNY/Toronto and CFEX (X92.9)/Calgary before moving to KITS/San Francisco for afternoons. What was your takeaways from working at these Alternative stations?
Oh, I took lots of stuff, mostly staplers.
Fun fact: In Calgary, I worked for Christian Hall. He’s known as the Bill Belichick of Canadian radio, even has it stenciled on his office wall.
6. What is your show prep routine?
Did you mean “show perp” like “show criminal”? Cause I could ask ours about his routine.
7. What is your favorite part of the show?
It’s a tie between the show’s heart and the show’s femur.
8. How are you using social media to augment what you’re doing on-air?
Social media is where I can truly be myself, as long as the angle is high enough.
9. What is one thing that would surprise people most about you?
I’m the voice of JACK FM across Canada (the country, not the state of mind).
10. What are you most passionate about?
My family! My fiancée! My Boston terrier, Lily Pad! Exclamation points!
Bonus Questions
What are weekends like for you?
Lily and I go for a lot of *whispered so Lily doesn’t hear* walks.
What are your favorite places to eat in L.A.?
Crossroads Kitchen, Pizzeria Mozza, and Joan’s on 3rd, if you hit Joan’s on 4th, you’ve gone too far.
Rank your sports teams in order of passion.
I’m a boxing fan. I attend fights as often as I can.
If you watch, I’m the guy shouting “boxing is fun!”Favorite new band over the past year?
Ayron Jones and Dirty Honey. It’s like I told them “you are good at music.” But neither used the quote on the album sleeve.
Anything else you would like to add?
God, wish I could... failed math.
