Incubus

Incubus are set to return on April 21st with a new album called “8” via Island Records and the first single out now is “Nimble Bastard.” The title reflects the number of studio records the band has under their name. Incubus are working with producer Dave Sardy (Marlyn Manson, Oasis, Fall Out Boy, LCD Soundsystem, Rage Against The Machine).
“This song actually came very late in the process of writing new music for our new album that we have coming out very soon,” explained guitarist Mike Einziger. “We’re just about done actually and it just kind of happened in the studio and we were messing around with this musical idea and the next thing we know we had a song. Brandon [Boyd] wrote the lyrics and it’s kind of a narrative about someone who overcomes the harshest of circumstances and always ends up landing on their feet. It’s a really fun and energetic song.”
Formed in Calabasas, California in 1991, Incubus is made up of vocalist Brandon Boyd, lead guitarist Mike Einziger, drummer Jose Pasillas, bassist Ben Kenney and DJ Kilmore. The band earned mainstream recognition with the release of their 1999 album “Make Yourself” which spawned the popular singles "Pardon Me" and "Stellar". In 2001, Incubus became even more successful with the single "Drive" and their follow-up album “Morning View” which included the popular hits "Wish You Were Here", "Nice to Know You" and "Warning."
Their sixth studio album, “Light Grenades,” debuted at No. 1 in 2006 and has received Gold certification in the U.S. Incubus released their first greatest hits album “Monuments and Melodies” in 2009. The band's most recent album, “If Not Now, When?,” was released in 2011. Incubus has sold over 23 million albums worldwide.
Incubus recently announced a lengthy summer tour alongside Jimmy Eat World and Judah & The Lion, kicking off in West Palm Beach on July 6th.
