Portugal. The Man
Mar 8, 2017
Portland, Oregon-based Portugal. The Man recently released a video for their latest single "Feel It Still.” This is the first showing from the Alaskan band since 2013's “Evil Friends.” The video depicts front-man John Gourley dancing his way through a junkyard in a pair of white overalls.
It's a welcome return from the band, who have been spending their time working on their upcoming eighth studio album “Woodstock” on Atlantic Records. The album was inspired after John found his dad’s ticket stub from the Woodstock music festival in 1969 and the need to speak out about the world crumbling around them.
“We worked with so many rad people on this album, but ended up with just the four of us in a basement at 4:00am trying to say something that mattered,” said Gourley of the new song. “Trying to write music that would help people feel they’re not alone, even if they’re angry or feeling lost. This video is our way of saying that we’re all in this together.”
Formed in Wasilla, Alaska, Portugal. The Man is made up of John Gourley, Zach Carothers, and Kyle O'Quin. Gourley and Carothers met and began playing music together in Wasilla High School.
Portugal. The Man just began their large spring and summer tour schedule which wraps on July 29thin Los Angeles at the Hollywood Palladium.
