The Wonder Years

“Sister Cities” is the new single from the Pennsylvania group, The Wonder Years. It can be found on their sixth studio album also titled “Sister Cities” released in April via Hopeless Records.
The new album was produced by Joe Chiccarelli (Manchester Orchestra, The White Stripes, The Strokes) and sold over 20,000 copies in the first week. The Wonder Years wrapped up May and June with tour dates to support the new album.
“’Sister Cities’ came about in a very systematic way,” The Wonder Years front-man Dan Campbell explains. “I was journaling on tour and as a band we were taking photographs of everything and once the tour was finished, I had this stack of journals and photographs to look through. I scanned them all in and then printed them right back out and started highlighting anything that I thought was interesting to me, any moments I had that felt important. Then I started to organize them into different categories or topics and collated all the experiences together that thematically fit a song. It was the experiences themselves over two years of life on the road that struck me as most important to write about.”
The Wonder Years was formed in Lansdale, Pennsylvania in 2005. The band is currently made up of lead-vocalist Dan “Soupy” Campbell, guitarist Matt Brasch, lead guitarist Casey Cavaliere, drummer Mike Kennedy, bassist Josh Martin and keyboard player/guitarist Nick Steinborn. Their name originates from a paper that Campbell read that was written by one of his after-school educators titled "The Wonder Years." They have released six full-length albums, two EPs and several compilations.
