“Four Leaf Clover” is the latest single from the English band, The Kooks. The tracks “No Pressure” and “All The Time” were previously released. They will all be found on their upcoming fifth full-length album called “Let's Go Sunshine,” which will be released on August 31st via Lonely Cat/AWAL Recordings.
When asked about some of the highlights of the new album, The Kooks front-man Luke Pritchard explained, “There are some really great moments. One that I’m really proud of, which is kind of a cool moment in my life, and this is a great thing about living in the era of technology, is that you can do these things. There’s this song called “Honeybee.” My sister sent me a demo from my dad that he recorded actually in the ‘60s or ‘70s. My dad died when I was a kid, so I never had the opportunity to sing with him, but we spliced his vocal. We have some computer programs now, and managed to clean up. I sing the first verse and he sings the second verse. That’s quite a cool moment.”
The Kooks currently consists of Luke Pritchard (vocals/rhythm guitar), Hugh Harris (lead guitar/synthesizer), Alexis Nunez (drums) and Peter Denton (bass guitar). Since forming in 2004, the group have put out four full-length albums; “Inside In/Inside Out” (2006), “Konk” (2008), “Junk Of the Heart” (2011), and “Listen” (2014). The band’s previous radio singles include: “ Bad Habit,” Junk Of The Heart,” and “Naïve.”
