The Gaslight Anthem
May 2, 2023
New Jersey band The Gaslight Anthem are back after a long hiatus with their new single "Positive Charge" via their own Rich Mahogany Recordings, distributed through Thirty Tigers. The band's first new music in nine years was produced and mixed by Grammy award-winner Peter Katis (The National, Interpol, Kurt Vile).
"‘Positive Charge’ began as a message of joy to ourselves and to our audience,” said The Gaslight Anthem’s Brian Fallon. "The central theme is about looking at the things you’ve come through and feeling like you want to go ahead with an open heart toward the future, believing that the best years are not behind any of us and the good we have is worth something."
Formed in 2006, The Gaslight Anthem consist of Brian Fallon (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Alex Rosamilia (lead guitar, backing vocals), Alex Levine (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Benny Horowitz (drums, percussion, backing vocals). The band has released five albums: Sink or Swim (2007); The '59 Sound (2008); American Slang (2010); Handwritten (2012); and Get Hurt (2014).
Following a long break and couple solo albums released by Fallon, The Gaslight Anthem reunited for shows in 2018 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of The '59 Sound. The band made their long-awaited return to the road last year with their first world headline tour in four years. They are back on the road throughout May, including Shaky Knees Music Festival. They will play Four Chord Music Fest on August 13th, Bourbon & Beyond Festival on September 15th, along with a series of Fall Midwest and West Coast dates.
