Electric Touch
Jan 30, 2012
With members hailing from both sides of the Atlantic this 5-piece delivers a unique brand of British-American Rock music. The result is Electric Touch, the type of unbridled rock band that's been missing from the scene for quite awhile - a monster of a group whose sound is big enough to fill an arena. The chemistry was instantaneous. Shane, who's originally from Nottingham, England, landed in Austin, met guitarist Christopher and things just clicked. Soon Christopher's twin brother Louis left Houston and headed to Austin to join Electric Touch on drums.
The five-man Anglo-American band combines the rock passions of its British and American bandmates. They call their music "Tales of Ordinary Life in Glorious Technicolor," and the garage-rock pulse of "Don't Stop" sets the pace, a fierce push-pull of sex and romance, from the highest highs of elated union to the lowest lows of heartbreak. Their sound is often likened to Island Records label mates The Killers, along with Kings Of Leon, but with members hailing from both sides of the Atlantic this exciting 5-piece delivers a unique brand of British-American Rock music. The band is set to commence a major North American tour supporting Nashville's Hot Chelle Rae on February 10th at Family Gras in Metairie, Louisiana.
The first single "Don't Stop," is from a four-song digital EP released in October. "Don't Stop" was produced by Grammy-nominated Producer of the Year, Howard Benson. The digital EP and tour set the scene for the early 2012 release of Electric Touch's first album on Island Records which follows up their self-titled debut album of 2008, on Texas indie Justice Records.
