Transplants

Punk super-group The Transplants, which includes Skinhead Rob (Aston), blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and Rancid front-man Tim Armstrong have released a new song, "Come Around," from the band's forthcoming third full-length album, In A Warzone. The highly anticipated record is scheduled for release on June 25th via Epitaph Records.
The Transplants first came to fruition in San Diego in 1999 when Tim and Rob began creating music together and bringing in a slew of musicians to help develop their sound. When they decided to officially start a band in 2002, they looked to their friend Travis to complete the lineup. Their self-titled album, which contained their hit "Diamonds And Guns" was released in 2002, followed by their 2nd full-length album, Haunted Cities, which came out in 2005.
"When we started this band 13 years ago, we weren't worried about who was going to like us," said Aston in a press release. "We still aren't. In A Warzone is more raw and stripped down than our previous releases. In my opinion, it's our best album. It's always been difficult to classify Transplants. But at the end of the day, we're a punk rock band. We make whatever type of music we want."
The band has already set a co-headlining tour with Rancid which kicks off at Detroit's Fillmore on June 11th, wrapping up on June 23rd at the Norva in Norfolk, VA. They will then go on to play with Rancid, Crown Of Thornz and The Interrupters at the House of Blues in Las Vegas July 21st, the Palladium in Los Angeles on July 26th and San Francisco's historic Warfield Theatre on August 2nd and 3rd.
