Walk The Moon
Sep 18, 2014
The new Walk The Moon single, "Shut Up And Dance" is a giddy dance anthem from the band's forthcoming third studio album, Talking Is Hard" due at the end of the year. The band's power pop spirit is still very much alive with lead singer, Nicholas Petricca delivering a massive chorus over a soaring electronic guitar. His lyricism continues to charm in the most coolest ways. "My discotheque, Juliet, teenage dream," Petricca sings to sneakers-rocking gal.
Formed in Cincinnati, Walk The Moon is comprised of members Nicholas Petricca, Kevin Ray, Sean Waugaman and Eli Maiman. They first released their debut album i want! i want! independently in 2010. The success of their single, "Anna Sun" led Walk the Moon to a record deal with RCA that year and the release of its self-titled album. Following a number of sold-out shows, the band took some time off before recording sessions began for album no. 3.
During Walk the Moon's fall of 2014 tour they will perform 20 headlining concerts around the U.S. in just under a month long time span. Joining them on tour for select dates will be Beginners, Public, and Finish Ticket. These concerts are in small and intimate venues. This North American "Shut Up and Tour" tour begins on October 8th in Seattle and ends on November 5th in Philadelphia with their performance at the Underground Arts.
