Kottonmouth Kings
Apr 5, 2010
California based Kottonmouth Kings will unleash their epic eleventh studio album "Long Live The Kings" on April 20th via Suburban Noize Records. The Kings spent eight months in the studio producing over 45 songs to create the next era in the ongoing legacy of the Kottonmouth Kings.
"Long Live The Kings" is a true testament to how innovative and creative the Kottonmouth Kings sound has become. From mind bending hip-hop, thrashing punk-rock, and melodic acoustics, the Kings' music has no boundaries and continues to smash all stereotypes. The end result is the next chapter in the group's ongoing reign as kings of the underground.
"We felt we needed to enter the next decade of the group's career with a bang," commented Daddy X.
The band have also been nominated for a 2010 High Times Doobie Award. The group was nominated in the "Best Hip-Hop" category alongside Cypress Hill's B-Real, Method Man & Redman, Asher Roth, and Kid Cudi. The Doobie Awards are presented in conjunction with High Times Magazine and celebrate the best in stoner culture.
"Pass the doobie. It's always an honor to be recognized for your work and passion," added Daddy X. "There are some nice stoney jams on our 'Hidden Stash' record, so it's great to hear people are feeling the album. We'd like to thank all the High Times staff and readers for all their continued love and support over the years."
The first single "Party Girls" is impacting Alternative on April 20th.
