Brandon Flowers
Mar 26, 2015

On May 19th, The Killers' Brandon Flowers will return with his new solo album, The Desired Effect via Island Records. It was recorded at Battle Born Studios, Winchester, Nevada and it was produced by Ariel Rechtshaid and Brandon Flowers and mixed by Alan Moulder. It is his second solo LP to date following 2010's Flamingo.
The Vegas-born Flowers has said the new material will feature less of a Sin City "influence," and will see him working outside "of his comfort zone." That's certainly the case on the album's lead single "Can't Deny My Love," which equal parts '70s disco and '80s contemporary rock, and features a choir of backing singers. The Desired Effect features guest appearances by Ethan Farmer, Bruce Hornsby, Tony Levin, Kenny Arnof and many others.
Between 2003 and 2013, as part of the Las Vegas-based The Killers, Brandon released four consecutive chart-topping albums and sold more than 25 million albums worldwide. The four studio albums were Hot Fuss (2004), Sam's Town (2006), Day & Age (2008) and Battle Born (2012). Along the way they have achieved worldwide success as a live band, performing in over fifty countries and headlining arenas on six continents.
On March 23rd, Flowers debuted "Can't Deny My Love" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He will continue touring in support of The Desired Effect through this spring and summer. Later this year, The Killers will headline the inaugural Kaaboo Festival in San Diego as well as the Firefly Music Festival in Delaware.
