The Maine
Apr 2, 2015

"English Girls" is the latest song released by the Arizona five-piece, The Maine. It is on their fifth full length album entitled American Candy released on March 31st via Big Picnic/RED. This new record serves as the direct follow-up to their 2013 release of Forever Halloween. "English Girls" echoes a poppier, more early-era The Maine as opposed to the material from their last two records. While their physical appearances and sound have continued to evolve, the "English Girls" lyric video made it clear they're still the same fun-loving guys who just have a more refined focus when it comes to their branding.
Lead singer John O'Callaghan shares, "I believe this record has birthed a rejuvenated and optimistic outlook on life that we can only hope is evident and contagious within the 8123 family."
Formed in Tempe, Arizona in 2007, The Maine put out their first full-length album, Can't Stop, Won't Stop in 2008. Their second full-length album, Black & White, came out in 2010 and it sold 22,634 copies in its first week. The group's third album, Pioneer, was released in 2011 and finally their fourth full-length record Forever Halloween was released in 2013 and sold over 10,000 copies in its first week.
The Maine will be hitting the road in April and May for the American Candy Tour.
