Anti-Flag

The Pittsburgh punk group, Anti-Flag recently released their ninth studio album and the first album with Spinefarm Records entitled, American Spring. The collection's first single is "Brandenburg Gate" and it features guest vocals from Tim Armstrong of Rancid. The song is a mid-tempo rocker complete with a sing-along chorus.
Anti-Flag was formed in 1988 by singer and guitarist Justin Sane and drummer Pat Thetic. In 1996, they released their first album, Die For The Government via New Red Archives. After lineup changes, in 1998 they released their second full-length release, Their System Doesn't Work For You. The album contained all nine Anti-Flag songs from the 1996, Anti-Flag/d.b.s. split album North America Sucks, as well as 10 new unreleased songs.
In 1999, Anti-Flag released the album A New Kind of Army on Go-Kart Records/A-F Records. They went on to put on 7 more albums between 2001 and today. Through it all, Anti-Flag has been well known for political activism, focusing on anti-war activism, anti-imperialism, class struggle, human rights, and various sociopolitical sentiments.
