MUTEMATH
Sep 11, 2015

The Grammy-nominated Mutemath have released an infectious new single called "Monument" from their forthcoming album, "Vitals" out via Wojtek Records/Caroline Records on October 16th. It will be the follow up to the band's critically acclaimed "Odd Soul" that was released in 2011.
When asked about what kind of influences and sounds the band has in mind for the future album, bass player, Roy Mitchell-Cardenas stated, "Anything is fair play for us, as long as we can pull it off convincingly."
Mutemath was formed in 2002 in New Orleans. The band consists of members Paul Meany (vocals, keyboards, piano & keytar), Darren King (drums & percussion), Roy Mitchell-Cárdenas (bass & vocals), and Todd Gummerman (guitar & vocals). They draw heavily from influences in 1960's and 1970's soul, psychedelic rock, and jam band styles, utilizing vintage guitars and amplifiers, as well as Rhodes keyboards, synthesizers, and other electronic instruments.
Mutemath's fall tour runs through late October.
