"Lying To You" is the debut single from Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and composer Goldroom's upcoming debut album "West Of The West" due out September 23rd via Downtown/Interscope Records.

"I've wanted to center Goldroom around honest songwriting, and in late 2015 things poured out in a way they just hadn't before, classic American songwriting is something I've tried hard to honor and push forward. Although I make electronic-based music, I think of this as Americana at its emotional core. I was aching to write something more simple and earnest, devoid of cynicism." The album's title is inspired by Teddy Roosevelt, who referred to California as "West of the West" during his presidency. "It's always resonated with me because it feels like a destination past the Wild West - an oasis where anything is possible, to me, West of the West is also the Pacific Ocean, where so much of my life and inspiration lies."

The Boston-bred Josh Legg began making music under the name Goldroom in 2011. He has released several EPs and singles, plus remixes for such artists as Niki and the Dove, MS MR, Atlas Genius, Charli XCX, The Knocks, MØ, Chvrches, and Janet Jackson.

On September 30th, Goldroom will head out on his 2016 co-headline tour with Autograf which kicks off in Nashville at The Basement East.
