MANDISA made her GRAND OLE OPRY debut last night when she joined in the fight against breast cancer during the OPRY'S fifth annual OPRY GOES PINK show in support of WOMEN ROCK FOR THE CURE. GRAMMY winner LEANN RIMES flipped the switch on the OPRY'S signature barn backdrop, turning it pink for the night as MANDISA and other artists including AMY GRANT, PAM TILLIS, LORRIE MORGAN and NATALIE GRANT performed in support of breast cancer awareness.
MANDISA'S new project, Overcomer, debuted at No. 1 on the BILLBOARD CHRISTIAN ALBUMS CHART. The album's title track has held the No. 1 spot for six weeks on the NATIONAL CHRISTIAN AUDIENCE CHART as well as the No. 1 position on the CHRISTIAN/GOSPEL CORE DIGITAL sales chart for 14 weeks. Overcomer was originally inspired by her friend who was pregnant while battling breast cancer. ABC's GOOD MORNING AMERICA world premiered the music video, which includes special appearances from former U.S. Congresswoman GABBY GIFFORDS, Captain MARK KELLY, Gold Medalist SCOTT HAMILTON and other special guests.
