Turkey 4 Tunes
The House FM (KZTH/Oklahoma City) and My Praise FM (KLVV/Ponca City) listeners worked together to make Thanksgiving special by giving frozen turkeys to the Salvation Army to pass along to families in need this season. Pictured (L to R) is The House FM and My Praise FM radio personality, Darren Clonts, The House FM mascot “Homieâ€, and Salvation Army Lieutenant, Bradley Hargis. They helped collect for “Turkey 4 Tunes†outside of Walmart. Listeners were encouraged to stop by to donate a frozen turkey in exchange for a Christmas CD. 460 turkeys valued at approximately $7000 total were provided by the stations’ listeners. One Salvation Army worker said, "This is more than a meal, this turkey is providing a holiday for a family in need.†For more information on upcoming Christmas outreaches and how listeners can get involved this season, visit TheHouseFM.com or MyPraiseFM.com.
