The very popular musical Fox-TV series Glee will have a Nashville connection when the show returns in the fall. According to The Boot blog, one of the show's new cast members will be Chord Overstreet, the son of Country artist Paul Overstreet.
Chord is one of Paul and his wife Julie's six children, who were raised on their farm just outside of Nashville. Chord joins the series as a transfer student named Sam Evans. Reportedly he will be befriended by Finn, who is played by series regular Cory Monteith, and the two will become rivals.
Chord listed Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley as artists he would love to perform songs from on the show. He also said he would like to see some Country music done on Glee.
"I would love to do a Country song on 'Glee,'" Chord said. "We get an episode at a time, so as far as the storyline goes I don't know if it will happen. But hopefully. That would be fun."
The second season of Glee begins Tuesday, September 21, on Fox-TV. Check out more information about the show at http://www.fox.com/glee.
