Singer/songwriter Michael Martin Murphey is set to preview his forthcoming "Austinology: Alleys Of Austins" project for fans on Thursday, October 18th at the Franklin Theatre in Franklin, TN. Beginning at 8p (CT), fans who are unable to attend the show can enjoy it via livestream on CountryRoadTV.com.
"This album is about the style and substance that makes a song that stands the test of time -- a song that has a chance of living on in the Great American Songbook," Murphey explained. "So, I did my personal take on songs by Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt, Jerry Jeff Walker, and Allan Damron, as well as songs made popular by Willie [Nelson] and Waylon [Jennings.] I stayed with songs that came out when I was there -- between 1968 and 1974 -- because, I personally experienced what the impact of that songwriting style was on the culture. Because, I was there, you know?" Visit www.MichaelMartinMurphey.com for more information.
