Walker Hayes
Dec 4, 2019
In honor of Giving Tuesday, Monument Records' Walker Hayes hosted an acoustic show at Nashville's Listening Room Cafe last night (12/3), with all proceeds benefiting HOPE International. In addition to the funds raised by the show, Hayes' "Be A Craig Fund" donated an additional $10,000 to HOPE International, an organization that invests in underprivileged families through services and loans that restore dignity and break the cycle of poverty.
The "Be A Craig Fund" is named after Hayes' song, "Craig," which he wrote about the selfless act of a man at his church who gifted Hayes and his large family a minivan after seeing them pile into a car not suited for a family of their size. The event inspired Hayes to form the "Be A Craig Fund," which supports nonprofits that empower others to make their path easier. More information on the foundation can be found here.
