Capitol Nashville's Carrie Underwood will team up with HBO Max for an exclusive holiday special, where she will perform songs from her first ever, full-length Christmas album, "My Gift," set to be released on Friday, September 25th. She will appear with a live orchestra and choir, and perform a mix of traditional favorites and new material from the album. Gary Goetzman and Tom Hanks will produce the special for film and TV production company Playtone, alongside Underwood and her manager, Ann Edelblute. The event is set to shoot this fall and air during the holiday season.
“The journey of writing and recording this album started last year when I finished my tour, and we could have never anticipated the circumstances we would be in this year,” said Underwood. “Creating this album has been good for my heart, and I’m thrilled to get to share it with the world and to bring it to life with Playtone and HBO Max.”
