Hunter Hayes has released two tracks from his new "Red Sky" album, due out on April 21st via LP Entertainment/DashGo. The 15-track project includes the singles "Normal" and "Lonely Loves Me," both released today (2/9). The singles speak to what Hayes refers to as the "false loneliness" of Valentine's Day. Hayes collaborated with pop songwriters, including Kevin Griffin, Dan Book, Rollo, Alex Delicata and Aaron Zimmerman, to push his previous boundaries on this project.
Hayes said, "I was constantly between a rock and a hard place of writing too safe of songs and pushing the boundaries. I don’t think I would be making this type of music had I not been holding off on doing so for so long. Valentine's Day [for me] can sometimes create a false sense of loneliness. So, I want to release the two most vulnerable songs from ‘Red Sky’ for anyone who may relate to these songs as a reminder, 1) you’re not alone [and] 2) it gets better."
