Earl Scruggs
May 28, 2012

Rounder Records is set to release "Foggy Mountain Special: A Bluegrass Tribute to Earl Scruggs" on June 5th. Earl Scruggs himself almost single-handedly perfected the rolling, three-finger banjo technique (Scruggs Style) that has become the signature sound of Bluegrass.
Over the last few years, some of the best players in the world have traveled to Nashville to record this tribute to him; and now with his passing this project has become a memorial album that will not only remember the legend, but influence future generations.
Producer Tim Austin tirelessly assembled 12 of the best banjo players in the business, as well as ten incredible backup musicians to record the 12 track collection.
