Country Throwdown

The 2012 Country Throwdown Tour has just announced some new artists to its lineup, as well as additional dates and a Twitter contest.

Joining headliners Gary Allan, Rodney Atkins, Justin Moore, Josh Thompson, Eric Paslay and Sunny Sweeney- will be Corey Smith, Florida Georgia Line, and Maggie Rose. In addition to the two main stage shows the Bluebird Café Stage will spotlight new singer-songwriters Channing Wilson, Rose Falcon and Carly Pearce for "in the round" sets throughout the days set changes.

The nationwide tour kicking off in Gulfport, Mississippi on May 17th will stop in 20 cities along with way to its final show July 8th, at The Woods at Fontanel in Nashville, Tennessee. Special guests Jonathan Singleton and The Grove, Drake White and Mama's Blue Dress will join the tour for its final performance.

The folks at Country Throwdown are also offering fans a chance to win a pair of SJC Custom Drums. Audience members are encouraged to take pictures of the artists performing, and post them to Twitter while mentioning the tour at @thrwdowntour and using the hastag #CountryThrowdownSJContest.

On top of the already scheduled performers, there will also be special guests on select stops. Dates are as follows: Rodney Atkins (June 1-30 and July 1), Justin Moore (May 18-27) and Corey Smith (May 19, 20, 26, 27, and July 8).
