Dolly Parton

Country legend Dolly Parton recently released a children's song, "I Believe In You," inspired by the collection of books in her Imagination Library. In 1995 Parton created "Dolly Parton's Imagination Library" to benefit the children of local East Tennessee. The organization sends a specially selected book to a child's home each month so that no matter the family's income, every child can experience the magic of books. In 2000, it expanded to the rest of the U.S. and Canada.
Parton began writing plays and songs about the books in her library, and she recently decided to compile the songs into a children's album, which will include "I Believe In You" and 11 additional songs. All of the proceeds go directly to the Dollywood Foundation, which provides scholarships to seniors at local high schools. For more information, visit www.DollyPartonEntertainment.com.
