Tones And I
Jun 14, 2021

Tones And I is an Australian singer-songwriter, born Toni Watson.
As a young girl, her family recognized her ability to sing and encouraged her to do so. She also learned to play keyboards while attending school.
Early in her career she would busk on the streets of Melbourne at night, while holding down a retail day job. During this time, Watson would upload songs to her YouTube page and perform live anywhere the opportunity presented itself. In 2017, she met the man who would become her manager and began writing and busking full time.
Her first chart success came with the 2019 single “Johnny Run Away,” which became a hit in Australia and earned 3x Platinum status from the ARIA. Her second single provided global success as “Dance Monkey” was released, and quickly went viral, hitting #1 in over 30 countries. It became the first Australian song to hit #1 on Spotify’s Global streaming chart. The song reached 1 billion YouTube views in May 2020. Her EP, The Kids Are Coming, was released September 2019 and her tour intended for 2020 was cut short when the COVID pandemic arrived.
The singer’s first ever album is scheduled to arrive this year. Welcome To The Madhouse will feature the Australian single “Won’t Sleep” as well as her current U.S. release, “Cloudy Day.”
