Grammy award winning Alicia Keys has released another song from her fifth studio album, Girl on Fire via RCA Records, "Tears Always Win". She may have served as a mentor on American Idol's past seasons, but on May 9th, the results show that announced the top two finalists, Keys debuted this new single. It was written by Bruno Mars and follows up her single, "Fire We Make" featuring Maxwell. Alicia's latest album, Girl On Fire topped the charts in America while peaking at a disappointing number 15 on the UK Album Charts.
Alicia Keys released her debut album via J Records, having had previous record deals first with Columbia and then Arista Records. Her debut album, Songs in A Minor, was a commercial success, selling over 12 million copies worldwide and she would go on to become the best-selling new artist and best-selling R&B artist of 2001. This album earned her five Grammy Awards in 2002, including Best New Artist and Song of the Year for "Fallin'" becoming the second American recording artist to win five Grammys in one night. Her second studio album, The Diary of Alicia Keys, was released in 2003 and was also another success worldwide, selling eight million copies. The album garnered her an additional four Grammy Awards in 2005. Later that year, she released her first live album, Unplugged, which debuted at number one in the United States.
The 32-year-old's "Girl On Fire" tour is in the UK this month and will kick off in Liverpool on May 18th before heading to Newcastle, Belfast, Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham rounding off the British dates at London's O2 Arena for two nights where she will be supported by Miguel there.
