Billy Idol
Sep 28, 2014
The rocker, Billy Idol is back with a new and seventh album entitled Kings & Queens Of The Underground due out on October 21st via BFI/Kobalt Records. It is his first album under his own label. On the collection's lead single, "Cant Break Me Down", he sticks to his classic style, a punkish drive, sneering vocals and roaring Steve Stevens guitar. The album comes out two weeks following the publication of Idol's autobiography, 'Dancing With Myself.'
This English rock musician, songwriter and actor first achieved fame in the punk rock era as a member of the band Generation X. Idol then went on to have a successful solo career, and was a member of the MTV-driven "Second British Invasion" of the United States. A series of music videos for songs such as "Dancing With Myself", "White Wedding", "Rebel Yell" and "Eyes Without a Face" made him one of the first MTV stars.
He'll also launch a short European tour, including shows in London and Milan, a few weeks after the record comes out. More dates are promised for the future, and will most likely be announced closer to the album's release.
