Leon Bridges

"I'm Coming Home" is the first single released by the R&B singer-songwriter, Leon Bridges. It is off his debut album, also titled "Coming Home", which was released earlier this summer via Columbia Records. The collection was written by Todd Bridges, Austin Michael Jenkins, Joshua Block, Chris Vivion and produced by Niles City Sound.
Influenced by Sam Cooke, Bridges describes why his sound moved him to make music, "I became so fascinated with that sound I wanted to recreate it exactly. It made me happy to make it identical. The simplicity just sounded so good."
Leon Bridges began his music career by performing at open-mic nights around Fort Worth. Then one day, White Denim's (Texas rock band) guitarist, Austin Jenkins came to see him perform and a week later, they paid for session players and a studio space to record in together. They released a few of those songs and that led Columbia Records to notice him.
Coming on the heels of some summer festival appearances including this year's Newport Folk Festival, Bridges will be equipped with his eight-piece band and will begin his fall tour in New Orleans at Tipitina's Uptown on October 12th.
