L.A. trio BEAUTY SCHOOL DROPOUT drop their new single "beautiful waste" via VERSWIRE. The new song will be part of the band’s sophomore full-length album READY TO EAT, set to drop on OCTOBER 13th. "'beautiful waste' is about chasing that relationship that is built to fail," said the band. "Everyone has that someone that they would bend over backwards for…but you might not see the love returned. To sum it up...I can take you out for breakfast, but he can take you around the world." The start-up label Verswire was spearheaded by VEEPS founder SHERRY SAEEDI, BLINK-182's MARK HOPPUS, and FALL OUT BOY'S PETE WENTZ. In 2022, BEAUTY SCHOOL DROPOUT released their debut album, We Made Plans And God Laughed. Earlier this year, BEAUTY SCHOOL DROPOUT toured with blink-182 on the first leg of their arena tour. BEAUTY SCHOOL DROPOUT just performed at LOLLAPALOOZA. RICHMOND's SAINT SAMUEL is a self-produced, singer-songwriter SAM MCCOIG, who has a fun and thought-provoking new single "Like You Like That" out via the newly relaunched DOG BROTHERS, a division of UNLEASHED MUSIC. "SAINT SAMUEL is an alter-ego," says MCCOIG. "He’s not separate from me, but he’s not who I am when I’m living my daily life. He’s what I look like without inhibitions or consequences or insecurities holding me back." The song is a conversation between two best friends co-writer, EMILY BRUZZO stuck in a "situationship" about the absence of "love at first sight" in this new romance. STOCKHOLM-based trio NORMANDIE release "Blood In The Water" via EASY LIFE RECORDS through LAND SHARK. It's the band's first new music since 2021’s Dark & Beautiful Secrets album, which boasts over 30 Million global streams to date. Speaking of the new single, frontman PHILIP STRAND said, "Blood In The Water is about how 'hurt people, hurt people,' how negativity is contagious and how it can lead people into negative spirals, where they unknowingly hurt the ones around them." New Music Friday Catches The Hives

THE HIVES drop their highly-anticipated first album in 11 years called, The Death Of Randy Fitzsimmons via FUGA. The new 12 track album is produced by PATRIK BERGER (LANA DEL REY, ROBYN, CHARLI XCX).

Charismatic frontman HOWLIN’ PELLE ALMQVIST said, "There's no maturity or anything like that bullshit, because who the fuck wants mature rock’n’roll? That's always where people go wrong, I feel. ‘It’s like rock’n’roll but adult,’ nobody wants that! That's literally taking the good shit out of it. Rock’n’roll can't grow up, it is a perpetual teenager and this album feels exactly like that, which it's all down to our excitement – and you can’t fake that shit."

The band is back in the U.S. for a fall 2023 North American tour in support of their first studio album in over a decade. It begins on OCTOBER 30th in NEW YORK at BROOKLYN STEEL and ends NOVEMBER 14th in LOS ANGELES at the BELASCO THEATER.
