Chris Anokute Named SVP, A&R At Island Def Jam

ISLAND DEF JAM MUSIC GROUP has named CHRIS ANOKUTE as SVP, A&R, the label announced THURSDAY (12/8).  ANOKUTE, who started with DEF JAM as an intern in 2001, has most recently served as SVP, A&R at UNIVERSAL REPUBLIC after five years at VIRGIN/EMI.

"CHRIS is very talented and I'm happy he is joining our A&R team," said EVP/Head of A&R KAREN KWAK, to whom ANOKUTE will report. "His track record for discovering fresh and unique talent is impressive and I know we can achieve even greater success together at IDJ."
