ALL ACCESS has learned that PEAK BROADCASTING Talk KIDO-A, Sports KFXD-A (630 THE FAN), and Hot AC KCIX (MIX 106)/BOISE PD JASON WILMOT is exiting the cluster as of DECEMBER 31st. The parting is said to be very amicable.
And that leaves a prime opening for a new PD to pick up the reins from WILMOT. The company is looking for a qualified PD with a track record of success who's looking for what the company says is a "creative atmosphere without corporate interference." The right candidate needs to have actively developed market-leading radio stations and brands and community ties, balancing his or her vision for a radio station with the needs of the business. Candidates need to have experience with personality and talk radio and the Hot AC format (and SELECTOR), and should be familiar with Sports and what good sports radio sounds like. PEAK is not looking for first-time PDs, but "underappreciated, outstanding professionals are encouraged to apply." The deadline is DECEMBER 20th; send resume, references, demo, & salary history to SVP/Market Manager, PEAK BROADCASTING, 827 E. Park Blvd. Suite 100, BOISE, ID 83712 or kevin.godwin@peakbroadcasting.com. EOE.
