702 ABC SYDNEY afternoon host RICHARD GLOVER and journalist, author, and broadcaster PETER FITZSIMONS have set the world record for longest interview on radio or TV.
GLOVER and FITZSIMONS talked on the air on ABC DIGITAL RADIO and online from 10a SUNDAY to 10a MONDAY (12/11-12), ending with GLOVER asking FITZSIMONS why he wears a red bandana on his head and FITZSIMONS responding, "because I like it." The 24-hour chat broke the previous record of 12 hours, 30 seconds set by PEDRO RUIZ in MADRID in 2009.
