The BBC says that the number of downloads of its radio programs as podcasts since the network launched its podcast service in 2007 has passed the one billion mark.
Among the figures released by the BBC, GLOBAL NEWS has been downloaded 89 million times since 2007, with RADIO 4's "THE ARCHERS" at 35 million and SCOTT MILLS' show for RADIO 1 at 31 million.
On a weekly basis, RADIO 4's "FRIDAY NIGHT COMEDY" leads the list, followed by RADIO 1's "BEST OF CHRIS MOYLES" and RADIO 2's CHRIS EVANS.
