Report: KABC Plans Big Changes, Including Adding Geraldo Rivera

Big changes are coming to CUMULUS Talk KABC-A/LOS ANGELES reports GARY LYCAN in the ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER. He writes a new lineup is expected to be rolled out on JANUARY 3rd, with LARRY ELDER "moving to afternoon drive and PETER TILDEN to late night. New to the schedule will be GERALDO RIVERA, 10a to noon weekdays."
PD JACK SILVER e-mailed LYCAN, writing "This is still in the final stages. My goal would be to announce on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 23rd after TILDEN's last morning show."
LYCAN quotes "three independent well-placed sources speaking on condition of anonymity" who say the 2012 schedule involves these changes:
DOUG MCINTYRE and TERRI-RAE ELMER, 5-9 a
JOHN PHILLIPS, 9-10a
GERALDO, 10a-noon
SEAN HANNITY, noon-3p
LARRY ELDER, 3-6 p
MARK LEVIN, 6-9p
PETER TILDEN, 9p-midnight

DON IMUS, 3-5aGERALDO, who recently replaced JOE CRUMMEY on CUMULUS Talk WABC-A/NEW YORK said, "This is a lifetime dream come true, hosting a talk radio show in the city where everyone has an opinion on everything. I want this show to provide a marketplace for the unpredictable, and also add some much-needed balance on talk radio during this heated election cycle. My slogan is, 'I'm GERALDO and I'm not always right.'"
