Carlisle Capital Corp. Wins Bidding For Rest Of Nassau Stations

CARLISLE CAPITAL CORPORATION has won the bidding for the the remaining 30 NASSAU BROADCASTING stations. CARLISLE is headed by BILL BINNIE, former candidate for the Republican nomination for the Senate from NEW HAMPSHIRE and current owner of independent WBIN-TV/DERRY, NH.
A letter from PEPPER HAMILTON attorney LEON R. BARSON to Chief Judge KEVIN GROSS of U.S. Bankruptcy Court in DELAWARE says that CARLISLE will pay $12.5 million for the stations and asks for a hearing for GROSS to approve the sale as quickly as by next WEDNESDAY (5/30).
The rest of NASSAU's stations were sold to five different companies in the first stage of the auction, approved on MAY 7th (NET NEWS 5/7).
