ANAHEIM BROADCASTING Rocker KCAL/RIVERSIDE PD STEVE HOFFMAN has decided to hang up the headphones on a full-time basis, and is resigning his duties after 14 years, to devote his full-time attention to his entertainment law practice.
APD/afternooner DARYL NORSELL has been tapped as Interim PD. He's been with KCAL for 26 years.
HOFFMAN told ALL ACCESS, "After 14 years at a very special radio station, a decision like this does not come quickly, easily or without deeply mixed emotions. However, for as sad as I am to be leaving KCAL, I'm far more fired up about moving on to the next phase of my career as an attorney.
"While there are a ridiculous number of people I should thank, I absolutely have to express my gratitude to JEFF PARKE and TIM SULLIVAN for making this such a great ride for so long, and I have to express about ten times that much appreciation to all of our team here at KCAL, especially DARYL NORSELL, KELLI CLUQUE and M.J. MATTHEWS. I'm not LARRY H. PARKER, so I can't get you $2.1 million, but if you need a good lawyer, you can always reach me at (310) 876-2889 or steve@stevehoffmanlaw.com."
