RIDE RECORDS artist STEVE AZAR has received the honor of having a day named after him in SOUTH DAKOTA.
On WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 8th, AZAR was performing a free concert in SIOUX FALLS that included his song “American Farmer” in recognition of FARMER APPRECIATION DAY. Upon completing his performance, SOUTH DAKOTA Governor DENNIS DAUGAARD proclaimed it to also be STEVE AZAR DAY throughout the state.
AZAR had pledged that the proceeds from the first 2000 copies of “American Farmer” would be donated to SOUTH DAKOTA’s FUTURE FARMERS OF AMERICA Foundation. As a result, the organization received $10,000.
