CCM+E Paying $30 Million For WOR

The paperwork filed with the FCC shows that CLEAR CHANNEL, through AMFM LICENSES, LLC., is paying BUCKLEY BROADCASTING/WOR, LLC $30 million for Talk WOR-A/NEW YORK,  The deal includes an LMA before closing.  The price for the station was undisclosed when the deal was announced this week.

In other filings with the FCC, WTIX, INC. (GEORGE H. BUCK/GHB BROADCASTING) is selling Sports-Talk WIST-A/NEW ORLEANS and FM translator K285FF/METARIE, LA  to CATHOLIC COMMUNITY RADIO, INC.  The price and sale agreement are missing from the version of the deal filed in the FCC database.

SOUTHLAND BROADCASTING CORPORATION is selling Southern Gospel KCGS-A/MARSHALL, IA to KIEFER RETIREMENT SERVICES, INC. for $150,000.

COCHISE BROADCASTING LLC has requested a Silent STA for KXJW/NORTY ROCK SPRINGS, WY while it retunes the diplexed facility to accommodate the station's channel change.

CONNER MEDIA has requested an extension of its Silent STA for FM translator W240BQ/JACKSONVILLE, NC while the station waits for approval of its new site.

VIC MICHAEL's CEDAR COVE BROADCASTING, INC. has closed on the sale of noncommercial KRKM/FORT WASHAKIE, WY to EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION for $10 and a tower lease.

THE PRESENCE RADIO NETWORK,has closed on the purchase of Religion WXTP (THE PRESENCE)/PORTLAND, ME from bankrupt NASSAU BROADCASTING.

MEDIATRIX SC, INC. has closed on the sale of noncommercial WKER-F/MCCORMICK, SC to SAINT PAUL RADIO, INC. for $1,000.

And EDGEWATER BROADCASTING, INC. has closed on the sale of FM translator K238BA/MITCHELL, SD to SAGA COMMUNICATIONS OF SOUTH DAKOTA, LLC for $15,000, including a $5,000 down payment credit from SAGA's down payment on K290BS/BATESVILLE, AR.
