Online Singing Competition Hopes To Discover New County Stars

DIGITAL RODEO and EVENTFUL, INC. have launched a new Country singing competition for unsigned artists.
“THE NEXT COUNTRY STAR” winner will receive studio time to record three singles at 16 TON STUDIO on NASHVILLE’s MUSIC ROW and a custom website and online merchandise store courtesy of MUSIC CITY NETWORKS and MERCHMO. They will also receive a COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION (CMA) prize package that includes roundtrip airfare for two, five nights hotel accommodations and VIP tickets to the 2012 CMA Awards.
The public will be invited to vote for each contestant. The top 25 artists with the most votes will move onto the semifinals where they will then be narrowed down by music industry experts such as CMA Director of Marketing, CORY CHAPMAN, Singer, Songwriter and Producer, JASON DEERE, ARISTO MEDIA President, JEFF WALKER, DIGITAL RODEO Marketing and Promotions Director, JOHN PYNE, MUSIC CITY INTERRACTIVE President, LANG SCOTT, and GRAMMY Winner ROBERT REYNOLDS of Country Group THE MAVERICKS.
